    Hi! I am Karina Diaz and I am a freshman majoring in elementary education. I moved to Tampa from Queens, New York before starting my junior year in high school (yes, I miss the snow and the cold sometimes too). I recently got a job at Starbucks in the Student Union which I have been excited about. My current hobbies right now are watching Netflix and reading.
    My first memory of using technology in the classroom is in fourth grade when we would play reading and math games online although some of us would play cool math games instead. In sixth grade, technology became a bigger part of my educational experience when we received our school emails and used these to submit assignments online. This branched off into writing essays online and learning how to collect data from online articles. The shift to using technology in an educational setting never seemed huge to me because technology has been apart of almost my whole life. It was an additional tool that helped me to complete my assignments.
    There are a lot of resources I use to stay up-to-date on information regarding my classes. GroupMe is apart of my personal learning network because it is used for my math class and it is a way for me to ask questions about anything I am confused on while also getting a quick response. In the past, I have also used Snapchat group chats, Instagram, and more to collaborate on projects and offer study tips. When I am really stuck and confused, I will often use crash course or other YouTube videos to facilitate my learning.

I asked ChatGPT for ideas and these ideas aided me in finishing the paper. I am motivated to us e AI when I am having trouble with an assignment. I have never used AI for anything other than school. There's so much to do with AI that I would not know where to start.     I use ChatGPT when I need more ideas for writing my paper. For example, one of my prompts said " why is the problem of evil in philosophy stronger than the teleological argument?" I learned that, unfortunately, AI bots can give the wrong answers but for the most part they are a helpful tool. From reading this weeks materials, I learned that AI shows up in many parts of my life that I did not know about before such as Siri and social media algorithms. My view on AI has not changed but I am now more aware of its uses in our everyday lives along

    The first time that I used Instagram for my Personal Learning Network was when I was in my freshman year of high school. Group chats would be created to talk to my friends about projects we had to work on and group chats would also be made for different classes. These group chats were even more useful during COVID when all of my classes were online. Twitter(X)/Instagram will be helpful in my future career when I am a teacher because I will be able to contact other teachers and see any possible resources they post online. I can get inspiration for classroom setup, lesson plans, general advice, and more.     The digital divide can affect student success in schools by allowing upper-middle class students to become more comfortable with technology and thus letting them have more opportunities in the workforce.
